Seasons Grief & Loss Center is New Orleans' first and only non-profit grief center that offers specialized bereavement programs facilitated by professionally trained counselors and volunteers to help others through the grieving process.

Educational and consulting programs are available for individuals, groups, and organizations. Donations are welcomed in memoriam. Grants, gifts, and corporate sponsorships help fund Seasons.

ART THERAPY

Seasons Grief Center offers art therapy to children, adolescents, families and groups. Art therapy allows people to express what is inside them without having to find the right words for it. No art skill or experience is required and there is no pressure to make "good or pretty" art.

The trained Art Therapist gently puts people at ease by offering materials, guidance, and an accepting atmosphere to help people to express themselves. Mistakes and messes are welcome! - MORE -

PREGNANCY LOSS GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

This group is for women who have experienced pregnancy loss(es) through miscarriage or stillbirth. The group offers weekly support and education to grieving mothers, meeting on Sundays - 3.30-5.30pm. No ongoing commitment is required, but doing a phone intake assessment and registering for the group is necessary.

Facilitated by an Art Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor.

GRIEF SUPPORT FOR 9-12 YR OLDS

This group is for children who have been affected by the death of a loved one. The group meets weekly for 8 weeks on Mondays - 6.15-7.15pm. Parent/guardians must do a phone intake assessment and commit their child(ren) for the whole 8 weeks.

The group offers support and education, as well as opportunities for creative self-expression. Facilitated by an Art Therapist.

GRIEF SUPPORT SUMMER CAMPS

One-day camps are offered during the summer months for children and adolescents who have been affected by the death of a loved one. Parent/guardians must do a phone intake assessment to register their child/children.

The camps offer support, education, and opportunities for creative self-expression. Facilitated by an Art Therapist and supported by guest Creative Arts Therapists and trained volunteers.
